This sustainable slow stitching workshop will tap in to your inner creativity by using old stitching techniques with a creative purpose! In this small-group workshop, learn simple stitching techniques, and become familiar with the needle, thread and fabrics. You’ll also discover the beauty of imperfection and the find joy in the process of creating.

Rekindling the age-old practice of hand-sewing with loads of creativity, sustainable slow stitching embraces your intuitive style and rhythm. Create a unique piece of textile art whilst learning the art of hand sewing by using scrap fabric remnants and other non-traditional resources.

The workshop is designed for beginner sewers who have no or limited hand-sewing experience.

Workshop Inclusions

  • 2 hour guided facilitation by local eco living educator, Mardi from French for Tuesday.
  • Fabric remnants and other suitable materials for repurposing
  • Needles and other tools & supplies, including thread, cotton and yarn
